A Surprise 40th Birthday Party and Millie’s Event Designs was there to create the memory.
Everyone has their own special day when it comes to their birthday. However, this birthday was one for the memory books. This past Saturday night, June 16th, the red carpet rolled out for 100+ of the couples closest friends to celebrate a surprise party for this wife and mother of two. As the guests arrived to the black tie affair via limo, they were greeted by Fox 4 reporter Eric Burke who captured each guest saying a special message into the camera to the guest of honor.
Upon exiting the red carpet the guests were then treated to several venues where they too could create their own memory of this magical night. These included a movie premier photo op, a caricature artist, a whimsical photo booth and a palm reading of their future.

The menu reflected an Oriental flair with sushi, egg rolls, pot stickers, crab ragoon, and edamame. Guests were treated to flutes of Champagne for a grand toast of the birthday girl provided by 3 Blondes and a Martini; http://www.3blondeskc.com/. Owner Katie Petterson and bartender Victor manned the open bar and also concocted a “signature drink” for the guest of honor. Finally the guests danced under the stars until midnight to the rockin’ sounds of Kansas City’s own DJ Kirby; http://djkirbyradio.com/home.html.
