The day Alyssa Vester and Brett Johnson celebrated the joys of matrimony at Kansas City’s, The Little Theatre. This intimate, elegant ballroom, was the perfect setting for this young couple’s wedding.  The charming promenade, and balcony that overlooks the main floor on five sides where the bride stood to toss her bouquet.  A truly romantic setting for a day they will remember forever #jazzedtobejohnson. This Austin, Texas couple engaged Millie’s Event Designs as their wedding planner to bring their dream wedding to life.

As the guests entered The Little Theatre, the ballroom was all lit up as the tables were decorated with white linen table cloths to the floor, pastel pink linen napkins accompanied by silver charges.  The center piece were flower arrangements consisting of pink roses, hydrangeas and hot pink gerber daisies designed exclusively by Maple Lane Designs; www.maplelanedesigns.com The couple exchanged their vows on a ceremonially stage adorned with soft pink and metallic silver helium filled balloons hanging high above the lighted chevon draping. After Alyssa and Brett sealed their wedding with a kiss.  The minister presented to the guests for the first time; Mr. and Mrs. Brett Johnson.

The reception offered the guests an opportunity to show their creative side with KC Flipbooks; www.kcflipbooks.com a 3-D animated flip book  with series of pictures that varies gradually from one page to the next, so that when the pages are turned rapidly, the pictures appear to animate by simulating motion or some other change.

Next it was time to cut the cakes.  The brides cake was a beautiful four tier decorated with white buttercream icing, silver dots accented with beautiful “Abraham Darby” Roses. Topped with the saying “To the Moon and Back”.  The grooms cake was a large chocolate single tier, replicating the look of a Diet Coke can (this is the grooms drink of choice).

After toasts by the best man and maid of honor, the guests and families spent time visiting with the bride and groom.  Then, at the appointed hour, it was now time for the bride to toss her bouquet from the balcony high above as though she was Juliet calling out to her Romeo. The couple was now ready to be sent off in grand style with their guests lining up with sparklers lighting the way to the limo that would sweep them off into the night as Texas grad Brett “Lasso’s the Moon”.

Congratulations Alyssa and Brett Johnson best wishes for a long and happy marriage, with many anniversaries to come.
