In Kansas City’s Historic West Bottoms lies a hidden gem The Oliver Building Venue and Event Space.  This 1800’s venue was the chosen site for Rachel Fenimore and Kurt Murray to exchange their vows before family and friends. A pre-ceremony cocktails greeted the guests as they arrived at The Oliver.  The wedding ceremony began at half past five on a lovely Saturday evening. The Reverend Melanie Hardison from Village Presbyterian Church presided over the exchange of vows.  Once the ceremony had concluded, the guests made their way down the stairs to enjoy the cocktail reception along with delicate hors d’oeuvres prepared by Brancato’s Catering.

The evening commenced with the guests coming upstairs to a beautifully decorated room with lovely floral arrangements staged as centerpieces chosen for each table by Maple Lane Designs. The wedding party was introduced to the guests as they came down the beautiful wooden staircase.  Then Kurt and Rachel were introduced as husband and wife for the second time.  The couple made their way down the stairs to have their champagne toast and welcome everyone to their wedding. As the head table was now complete.  It was time to begin dinner service. DJ Ashton Martin; chose love songs to set the ambience for dinner.  Once, each guests had made their way to each of the three dinner stations, it was time begin the reception festivities. The father of the bride kicked things off with his glowing speech, followed by the maid of honor giving her heartfelt speech, and last but certainly not least the best man presented his speech.  The newlyweds, Rachel and Kurt made their way to the dance floor to have their first dance. Kurt and his mother reminisced on the dance floor for the traditional mother/son dance.Followed by Rachel and her father having their father and daughter special dance.

DJ Ashton Martin then asked for all guests to join the bride and groom onto the dance floor to dance to the tunes chosen specifically by newlyweds.

As the evening was drawing to a close the guests made their way downstairs and outside to a sparkling send-off line celebrating the newlyweds Rachel and Kurt Murray.
