St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church; in Kansas City was the site where family and friends celebrated the nuptial wedding mass of Kathleen Sullivan and Nick Kolarik. Then, on this beautiful Memorial Day weekend, the couple and their bridal party left the church and boarded a party bus to take pictures at several beautiful Kansas City landmarks.
The final stop was historic Drexel Hall; the site for their evening reception. While waiting, guests were treated to a cocktail reception. The bridal party then exited the bus, entered the hall and were announced as they made their way to their assigned tables. The newlyweds were then introduced for the second time as Mr. and Mrs. Nick Kolarik. Next the couple strolled out onto center of the dance floor to cut their beautiful three tier wedding cake and have a picturesque champagne toast. Then they moved to a sweetheart table on the stage where they continued sipping champagne while gazing out to their family and friends.
The evening festivities then began with a buffet style dinner catered by Grand Street Cafe. Once everyone had gone through the buffet, it was time for the father of the bride speech. After the moving speech there wasn’t a dry eye among the guests. The maid of honor speech was then given by the bride’s sister Molly and was followed by the best man’s speech who was the groom’s friend since grade school. After the speeches it was time for the newlywed’s first dance. It was followed by the traditional father/daughter and the mother/son dances. The DJ then asked for all of the guests to join the newlyweds onto the dance floor to enjoy dancing to the tunes of the night. Then, at the appointed time, the DJ requested that all the single ladies to gather on the center of the dance floor for the bridal bouquet toss from the balcony above by the beautiful bride.
As the evening was coming to a close, there was time for one more special moment as the guest gathered outside Drexel Hall for a “sparkler send off” for Mr. and Mrs. Nick Kolarik.
