It was a beautiful spring Sunday afternoon at Kansas City’s Powell Gardens. Just the kind you often have after a windy and rainy spring storm. The rustic and secluded chapel deep within the gardens was a picture perfect site for Hannah and Micheal to exchange their wedding vows. As the guests were being seated, they were treated to lovely music being played on a harpsichord and an acoustic guitar that provided just the right ambience for the symbolic ceremony.
Once the ceremony was concluded, everyone was then off to a grand reception at Boulevard Brewery near downtown Kansas City. As the guests made their way up to top floor they were greeted with a cocktail of their choice and an appetizer from a Mexican themed charcuterie board. The bride and groom along with their wedding party soon arrived to be introduced to their guests by DJ James with Raise the Barr. The newly married couple then took center stage on the dance floor where they cut their two tier, green accented wedding cake designed exclusively by Dolce Bakery. Next they drank a traditional champagne toast to kickoff the evening’s celebration.
Hannah and Michael then led their guests to the spectacular taco bar buffet prepared by Heftner Catering. After cruising through the buffet, guests then had their choice of desserts including petit fours of key lime and cheesecake drizzled with caramel sauce or delicious chocolate cupcakes to satisfy their sweet tooth cravings.
As the guests were ending their delicious meal, it was then time to begin the evening’s events. Michael escorted his lovely new bride onto the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. DJ James then asked the guests to join the couple onto the dance floor. As early evening turned to night, the doors to the patio were opened so that the guests may step out to the star light warm night air and enjoy the picturesque view of downtown Kansas City. As the night came to a close, the families and guests treated the nuptial couple to a final canopy tea lit candle celebration on the patio.
